Village hall redevelopment and extension

Our brief was to provide Wisborough Green village residents with a much-improved local hall which would provide more useable space and capacity to house larger and more diverse activities.

The project consisted of the refurbishment of the existing committee room and toilet facilities, upgrading of sanitaryware and flooring, building a new kitchen and the removal of the old kitchen to convert it into a cloakroom and storage area.

A new single storey extension was constructed, incorporating a large new catering-sized kitchen, accessible toilets and shower, a large secure storage area, and a new plant room to house the new boiler and back-up electric generator equipment.

To ensure energy efficiency, modern insulation was used throughout the new build section, the material for which was sourced from sustainable product providers, and a new A-rated boiler was installed as part of the heating system overhaul. Electric car charging points and new LED lighting were also installed to further support this eco-friendly approach.
