The brief was to convert this former student hostel into six independent residential units for occupation by the Emerson Living and Learning Community.
As well as general sub-division of the building, the works enhanced both the thermal and fire properties of the accommodation and made provision for a future Eco heat source.
The addition of balconies, new windows and rain screen cladding greatly improved the function and aesthetics. A guest room was added to allow residents to host their visitors in comfort.
